I grew up here in the middle of Idaho, elder sister to three brothers and daughter to a mom and Dad who gave up so much to move us here. For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in photos. My mom has those big, fat, leather bound albums from the 90's chock full of photos. She was always taking pictures of us at family events, enjoying a beach day, or Christmas morning. "It's so you can remember," she would tell us before continuing to snap away.

My stepdad gave me my first film camera when I was 14. His grand dad had owned it before him and I remember feeling so important when I slid the straps over my shoulders and around my neck. I took so many pictures of our Oregon Coast family vacation and remember the giddiness I felt when the Walmart photo clerk handed me my thick envelope of developed treasures. From that time, I have been hooked.

Now I take pictures of neighbors who, when you live in a small rural community, quickly become your friends. I love exploring my home state and showing people how beautiful it really is here, all while capturing their sweet and silly moments.
